Range of Sizes to Suit Every Requirement
We manufacture a broad selection of standard shelter sizes, starting from 8’x10’ in our smallholder range, up to 12’x36’ for larger paddocks and herds. Each shelter is available with either a single 6’ or double 6’ opening, both of which can be fitted with slip rails or galvanised steel gates, depending on your requirements.
To ensure strength and mobility, we offer three skid options:
- Pressure-treated timber skids – cost-effective and ideal for light or infrequent use
- 80mm x 40mm galvanised steel skids – our most popular option, offering a low threshold and safe, regular towing (used on over 75% of our shelters)
- 100mm x 100mm galvanised steel skids – for those seeking a heavy-duty upgrade, though the raised threshold may be less practical for frequent entry and exit
Strong & Safe Interior Design
All mobile field shelters are fitted with 11mm OSB kickboards to a height of 4ft as standard, protecting your timber walls from kicks and wear. For enhanced durability, upgrades are available to 12mm plywood or 18mm OSB.
Roofing and Guttering Options
Our shelters feature a lined overhang to the front for added weather protection.
- 10ft deep models include an 800mm overhang
- 12ft deep models include a 1100mm overhang
Optional shiplap lining provides an elegant finish.
We supply Onduline roofing in a range of colours—black, green, red, or brown—all fully lined with OSB for added structural strength and to prevent sagging in high winds. For customers looking to enhance the appearance of their shelters, we also offer:
- Onduvilla tiles – stylish and durable
- Cedar shingles – premium option with a natural look and a lifespan exceeding 30 years
- Galvanised box profile and P6 fibre cement roofing – available on request
To reduce water ingress at the entrance, we strongly recommend guttering to the front of the shelter. Rear guttering is optional. Leaf guards can also be supplied for low-maintenance drainage.
Interior Comfort: Rubber Matting Options
We frequently supply 17mm thick rubber mats, which reduce or even eliminate the need for bedding. These mats provide excellent cushioning and are proven to improve hoof health by keeping the surface dry and supportive.
For high-traffic entry points, rubber or plastic grass mats can be installed. These mats help bind the ground, prevent mud build-up, and distribute weight to minimise wear.
Delivery and installation
All of our timber buildings—including mobile field shelters—are manufactured in-house at our Warwickshire factory. With a large stock of standard-size units and quick turnaround on bespoke requests, we can typically produce custom panels within 4–7 days.
We offer a comprehensive installation service across the UK, with a portfolio of past work available for viewing. We’re always happy to direct you to a local project so you can see the quality of our craftsmanship in person.
