Quality of materials

A combination of the highest quality materials and superb workmanship ensure that our stables last and last.

Onduline™ and roof lining

Onduline™ is a durable and cost effective corrugated roofing material. However in hot weather unlined Onduline™ roofs can sag. That’s why every stable and field shelter we build is fitted with a strong OSB roof lining to prevent sagging and prolong the life of your structure.

Timber

All the timber we use in our external and internal stabling is either C16 or C24 (knots per square metre), which indicates the strength classification for structural timber. It is pressure treated with Tanalith E®, a water-based timber preservative that gives long-term protection against fungal and insect attack.

Framing and shiplap

We use high quality Swedish framing and the very best Siberian shiplap for the stable cladding. Shiplap is the best type of cladding for external buildings as it requires little maintenance and can withstand cold climates.

All our timber is sourced from Forestry Commission approved sources.

Steel

The steel we use for door hinges and bolts is fully galvanised for strength and all stable door furniture is fitted with precision and care to ensure safety, security and durability.
